"I never slept so good like in a six bed dorm in RCB. Even at home. Heating, matresses and a quiet atmosphere. Because of the quiet atmosphere I was able to come in contact people completely different than in any other hostel. Some RCB hostel guest are like Family to me and RCB is NZ-home!"

"I arrived in the hostel meaning to stay for three weeks, ended up staying for over 3months. No Bunk beds, every bed has a power socket and the rooms are a very reasonable size. Every room also have a heater so you are never cold. There are baths as well as showers. The hostel is 5mins walk from the centre of town and the supermarkets. The reception is run by the owners and both have a high volume of knowledge of the local area and surroundings.

"RCB is a home away from home. Heating... plenty of hot water... the best hostel beds in NZ. What more would a backpacker need? Oh yes, a kitchen with plenty of everything and a TV lounge with more films than you knew."

"RCB is one of the best hostels I have stayed at! The beds aren't bunks and have actual MATRESSES. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, warm and clean with a large kitchen. The heated pool out the back is lovely to relax in after a day exploring."
